AS ABOVE, SO BELOW Oak Island and the true story of how the stars revealed the Templars' final secret Conor Owens - Weststar Books, 2026 - ISBN 978-1-9195410-0-6 weststarbooks.com These are the data files referenced in the Appendix of Book Two. They exist so the argument can be taken apart. Everything in sections B, C and E of Book Two can be regenerated from them. If a figure here disagrees with the printed book, the file is right and the book is wrong. ---------------------------------------------------------------- THE FILES oak_island_astronomy.py The reference implementation. Python 3, no external libraries. Regenerates the star catalogue and every alignment from first principles. python3 oak_island_astronomy.py python3 oak_island_astronomy.py --epoch 1350 python3 oak_island_astronomy.py --csv The epoch of 1200 AD is an ASSUMPTION, not a result. See B.4 of Book Two. A reader who rejects it should rerun with --epoch and see what survives. stones.csv Section A. The eleven stations. Seven located, four derived. Every distance and bearing involving a derived station inherits that derivation and is not an independent observation. eastern_frame.csv Section A.2. The Money Pit, Stone Triangle, both drilled rocks and Smith's Cove. These are James E. Bare's published reconstructions, tested here rather than produced here. His caveat is carried forward: they were referenced to a Google Earth grid that has since shifted, and an unknown datum offset may exist. section_B_star_catalogue.csv Seventeen stars. J2000 positions, declination precessed to 1200 AD, rise and set azimuths for latitude 44.5167 N on the geometric horizon. No refraction: an observer with a clear sea horizon sees a star about 0.57 degrees earlier. No precision claim finer than half a degree is meaningful. section_C_alignments.csv Twenty-four lines. Measured bearing from the two stone positions, target azimuth from section B, and the deviation between them. A sightline is undirected, so the smaller of the two deviations is reported. Median 0.64 degrees. Best 0.01, worst 1.48. distances_and_144.csv All 55 pairings of the eleven stones, INCLUDING THE MISSES. 27 fall within 3 per cent of a whole multiple of 144 feet. The 28 that do not are listed too. They matter as much as the hits. ------------------------------------------------------------- HOW TO CHECK The fastest way to disprove this book: 1. Rerun the code at a different epoch. If the alignments hold as well at 1500 as at 1200, the dating claim is worthless. 2. Read distances_and_144.csv and count the misses yourself. 3. Take the four derived stations out of stones.csv and see how much of section E survives on the seven located stones alone. 4. Check the coordinates against a survey. None of the positions in these files was produced by instrument on the ground. If a proper survey contradicts them, the survey wins.
